Our House – Writing Prompt #115 “NoEnd House Part 1″ and Whirligig 15

THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “The Children Are Coming Slowly up the Stairs” by Thomas Hornsby Ferril: dialing, shattering, shady, drifting, poking, posts, fingers, loll, prance, bathe, wrathful, deep

Our house, it’s a very fine house
With nine rooms all different
Each one as fascinating as the next
Mum’s index finger points at the first room
It’s near the shady parking lot with no door
It’s got a fence instead, no key, always open
It’s all green, full of plants, flowers and icons
Bodhisattvas are portrayed as kindly figures
And at the same time, as wrathful deities
Ganesha with flowers, candles and water
Birds like their bathe on this scorching day
We like staying there lolling on a hammock
Probably drifting in and out of deep sleep
Kerwin dialling his friend’s number but no luck
Michelle prancing around the room like a pop star
Mum busy posting her blogs while Marie’s on tears
Her life’s being shattered by a two timer boyfriend
