In the Valley I am Free – Sunday Photo Fiction and Wordle 217

122-09-september-20th-2015

In the valley I am free
I want to swim in the sea
Free to flee from the threat
I was with self-doubt beset
The scent of the rose is just a trick
Or the beach in a sheltered creek
I don’t want to dash back to him
Coz I know that life would be grim
He’s going to nick my freedom
A future that might be fearsome
I’ll try hard to compose myself
Get a book from the bookshelf
Soon the threat will subside
I can stand up with pride

Sounds like the kind of man to flee from, when you’re freedom is in the balance!

Soon the threat will subside. For her I hope it does. I wonder how?

Be true to oneself, for everyone else is taken. Freedom is a gift, it is best not to give it up, especially to those who seek to abuse it. Very good take on both prompts which are so effortlessly woven together.

Lovely poem. It’s good that she realizes his effort of trickery and knows it would hamper her freedom to be with him. When in doubt, it is always best to give it some time before continuing.
