Heeding Haiku With Chèvrefeuille December 2nd 2015

A lovely afternoon and we are walking up the mountain. The wind brushes my hair, the scents of the flowers in the air and we can hear birds singing. A chill creeps into the air, but just a nip to let us know a new season is at hand.

all over the hill
the scent of blooming bluebell
blue wild hyacinth

blue wild hyacinth
as we walk up the mountain
swaying with the wind

swaying with the wind
soon the hill will be aflame
riot of gold and red

I have hyacinth by my rural postal mailbox by the road…and in the spring the scent can be overwhelming.
I can take some in the house and for days the fragrance will linger. A nice reminder of spring as my winter approaches. 🙂
